Social Media Full of Lies

Social Media nowadays became one of part in everyone lifes especially us as a consumers and users. Social media has influenced almost everything that are involved in real-life, work-life and even daily-lifes which has became a synonym for everyone to had a social media, and people can’t live without social media. Because of social media has influence almost everything that related, it gives a bad perspective nor matter how much benefits and advantage that being gained on the social media itself. One of the bad perspective that social media had is social media has a lot of lies, especially nowadays. Social Media are full of lies nowadays since it been introduced to the world. After being observed and take notes, these are the most common issues that happen since social media are getting involved with a lot lies.

First, Fake or exaggerated identities. In these scenario, it can be seen that there is some people (User) on social media especially someone who eager, jealous or even feel uneasy with others joy and achievements that has make these people to show the best parts of their lives edited photos, achievements, and happy moments where it is opposite with the real truth of their life actually. Because of these scenario, people that watched the post will see that User are someone that successful, having ful with their life and so on but the truth are not meant to be with the one that he/she post is, where he/she are hide the struggles, failures, and normal daily life. This creates a false reality where everyone looks successful and perfect. It can be seen that social media are not meant to be a place that are truly represent real life because people are carefully control their life actually to not show almost everything in their daily lifes on social media. If people believe that social media are truly represent real life, these would let them to believe that everything is beautiful and perfect on real life based on social media that they being manipulated with. Overall, these issues need to be fixed and i believe that fake or exaggerated identities are one of issues on social media.

Next, is misleading informations that spread widely and faster. These issues is the most crucial and serious issues that need to be against with. The reason is that on social media, there is no barriers for anyone to make a post; no matter who you are which in these scenario it means that an anonymous, unknown, haters or even criminal can post any posting that are targeted to misleading the truth about the informations is. Because of these, Fake news, edited videos, and misleading captions can go viral quickly because people share posts without checking facts. If these misleading information being leaked or even spread without consent, it can cause arguments or misunderstandings on social media, targeted people like elders will forward these fake and misleading informations to community which will cause misleading information and more that can cause a bad influence. Overall, the responsible authorities must address this issue seriously to prevent it from escalating and should take appropriate measures to warn and educate users about this problem, and misleading informations that spread widely and faster is one of the issues that makes social media are full of lies.

Finally, the last issues about social media is product review might became deceptive. In this issues, it can see as a common issues among user who watched a product being review by some organizations, or seller on their product where they overclaim about their product that their product are good and fat better than other product. They also use some famous influencer or even content creator to promote their self-claim “best” products and paid them to said the best thing about the product that they being reviewed just because they are paid review. If these still happening, people especially followers will believe them because they look trustworthy or famous, which is sometimes the product are opposite with the review. Overall, every product that being reviewed need to be review in a honest, and telling truth about the product itself to make sure that people will gain trustworthy and confidence with the product that been review nor matter paid review or free review. Product review might became deceptive is one of the issues about social media.

In conclusion, social media nowadays has gained a lot of lies because of unresponsible people that are not use social media correctly. These issues make it difficult to trust what we see online, and they can negatively influence society if left unchecked. So because of these topic, as a user we need to be responsible to take action, learnt and adapt with the social media so that the social media that being used are in a correct way, and government also organizations need to take actions to reduced these problems.
