Gen Z isn’t a Stereotypes: Discovering Strengths of youth today

“The youth of today are the leader for tomorrow”

I’m agree to this statement by Nelson Mandela. The youngster today will be our future leader for the next 10 decades. I believe that young adult today have a broad knowledge on survival skills despites many critics, and stereotypes that calling the ‘Gen Z’ are the laziest generation and being called as a burden. There’s a lot of positiveness from this generation that older generation can’t do and survive as the passage of time through the modern era.

Firstly, younger generation have an adaptability to change. This is because, the current generation of young adults has demonstrated that they can quickly adjust to such vast changes as the COVID-19 pandemic. For example, Schools and jobs went online, and they rapidly got used to using such tools as Zoom and Google Classroom. Some people discovered a new way to make money using apps such as Grab or Shopee, and some of them could even master new skills online under the conditions of lockdown. This clearly shows that they are easy to get along with, fast to learn, and that they can deal with obstacles which are important aspects of survival in the modern-day society.

Morover, the young adult nowadays are very brave to voice out their opinion and concern. The youngster nowadays is courageous and fear not of expressing their concerns regarding the crucial matters. They also tend to attract attention to such issues as mental health, climate change, equality, and human rights by means of social media. As an example, a lot of young people participated in online movements such as a hashtag trend that would mention BlackLivesMatter or claimed to expose bullying and toxic school environments. They are not scared of having a stand against unrealistic regulations, or being ready to state their views, regardless of whether they defy to the ancient conventions. It demonstrates that they are not afraid, that they are confident and that they have a strong sense of justice, which is all part of the valuable life skills.

Lastly, young adult nowadays are full of awareness. The modern day young generation uses to be exceptionally alert as to what is occurring in the world. They are concerned about such problems as climate change, mental health, racism, and gender equality. For example, with the help of internet and social media, they are informed and up to date and through it they now make better decisions and choices in their everyday lives. One may take the example of many youths preferring environmentally friendly goods, discussing their mental condition, or protesting against discrimination.
This awakening makes them better responsible, caring and willing to make a change of the positive nature to the world.

There’s a lot of things that we can learn from young adults nowadays as they’re a creative generation with adaptability skills, not fear to voice out their concern and they’re very alert with the updates and aware of it. Contrary to the popular assumptions of the young adults not having survival skills, the idea is that young adults present good lessons of modern living. The way they adapt to new technologies and express their opinions on social matters as well as remain mindful about the problems that happen in the world demonstrates another form of strength. They do not only consume the internet, but they learn, develop and contribute to the world positively through the internet. Whether you put it in terms of the mental healthcare agenda or entrepreneurial activities on the internet, the youths of these days have redefined the modern process of not only living, but also surviving. We should not be demeaning young adults but rather we need to listen to them; learn them and provide wisdom to them rather that judge them. The schools, parents and communities ought to nurture their already possessed skills and also impart useful knowledge and values in life. The older generations can share the wisdom they acquired throughout their lives, and the young generation can be innovative, so that society develops to be stronger, more united and ready to face tomorrow.

One Response

  1. The essay presents a clear structure with an introduction, three main points, and a conclusion. It offers relevant ideas about the strengths of today’s youth, supported by examples such as adaptability during the pandemic and social activism. However, the language contains frequent grammar errors, awkward phrasing, and inconsistent vocabulary use, which affect clarity and fluency. The content is meaningful but can be improved with more specific examples and less repetition. Overall, it is a thoughtful response that needs language refinement and clearer expression to be more effective.

    Examples:
    “I’m agree” → should be “I agree”

“despites many critics” → “despite much criticism”

“positiveness” → “positive qualities” or “strengths”

“Morover” → spelling should be “Moreover”

“the young adult nowadays are…” → subject-verb agreement error: should be “young adults nowadays are…”
